Our principal and staff

Our school team is committed to every student’s learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging. We work together to create a supportive and inclusive school where every child is set up for success.

Welcome from our principal

"Welcome to Riverstone High School, a diverse and inclusive learning community committed to excellence in teaching, learning and wellbeing. We hold high expectations for every student and work purposefully to build resilience, confidence and aspiration, so that all young people are equipped to thrive in a complex and changing world.

Situated on Dharug Country, our school is proud to be an integral part of a growing local community. We value strong, collaborative partnerships with families, local organisations, and our partner primary schools to ensure smooth and successful transitions into high school. As our community continues to grow, we remain committed to creating a safe, respectful and welcoming environment where every student feels a sense of belonging.

Riverstone High School provides a comprehensive education for students from Years 7 to 12, offering a broad and engaging curriculum supported by future-focused learning spaces. Students can access a wide range of academic and vocational pathways, including HSC and Vocational Education courses, and benefit from opportunities through the Nirimba Collegiate.

We are proud to offer a targeted Extension Class for identified high potential and gifted students, with a focus on the Intellectual and Social-Emotional domains. The program delivers a deliberately differentiated curriculum across all key learning areas, promoting higher-order thinking, student agency, and learning experiences that foster depth, complexity and intellectual risk-taking. Through this approach, students are both academically extended and supported to develop the motivation, resilience and learning behaviours needed for sustained success.

Our Inclusive Education Unit plays a vital role in supporting students with disability through personalised learning, targeted wellbeing support and meaningful inclusion within mainstream classes and school life. We are proud of our culture of collaboration, where staff work closely with students and families to ensure every learner is known, valued and supported to achieve their best.

We look forward to working in partnership with you and welcoming you to our school community."

Fiona Cunliffe, Acting Principal of Riverstone High School
