Our school has a tradition of running excursions to The United States of America to enhance the learning experiences and opportunities of our students. Since 2005, six international tours to the USA have been conducted. Whether our excursions have been as part of the Duke of Edinburgh Scheme, for Performing Arts or cultural purposes, they aim to broaden our students school experience and deepen their understanding of the world and their place in it. Learning really takes on a whole new meaning when students can physically experience the places, culture and people beyond a textbook.
Over the years we have visited many places of interest such as:
Alcatraz, The Golden Gate Bridge, Yosemite National Park, Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon, Monument Valley, The Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, Pearl Harbor, DisneyLand, Universal Studios, Hollywood and Santa Monica just to name a few.
We have also created a connecton with Cypress High School in Anaheim, CA. Our students spend the day at the school where they attend classes with their students. We also teach them how to play Australian Sports such as Cricket and Rugby League.
We will be taking expressions of interest for a 2021 USA Trip during Term 2. If you are interested in finding out more information, please contact Ms Sarah Stewart on 0296271484 or sarah.stewart@det.nsw.edu.au
