Students in Years 9 and 10 are given the opportunity to attend the biannual* ski trip to Jindabyne Sport and Recreation Centre.
Our snow sports program is designed to allow students the unique opportunity of experiencing the snow and learning to ski or snow board in a fun, safe and structured environment. Students are encouraged to challenge themselves, learn new skills, display resilience and courage, all while nurturing an appreciation of the unique alpine environment.
As a leading provider of school snow sports programs in Australia, our fully-facilitated programs are compliant with the Department of Education school sports unit guidelines. Programs include all meals, accommodation, transport to and from Perisher Ski resort via bus and ski tube, private indoor meeting area on snow, professional graded lessons via Perisher Ski School, ski hire equipment and evening recreation.
For more information visit the Sport and Recreation Centres and Regions website.
Students will leave Riverstone High School on Monday morning and travel by coach to Jindabyne. Students are then sized for their ski or snowboards and ski clothing. This is provided as part of the cost of the trip. Students will attend a 2-hour lesson each morning (Tuesday to Friday) and then be allowed to ski or snowboard on areas they have been taught throughout the lessons. All meals and drinks are included as part of the cost.
Any student interested in attending needs to see Mrs Bidois in the PE staffroom.

* The trip will only run if minimum numbers are met.
