Online Learning Update 27/7

school

Good Morning,

Thank you to all the students engaging with their online learning. It has been fantastic to see students taking ownership of their learning and using the RHS Remote Learning HUB to continue their studies. Please be aware that our staff are continuing with their planned lesson content and so all work provided is compulsory. Students not engaging in the online Adobe Connect Sessions and class activities risk receiving Non-Completion letters or N-Warnings for not satisfying the course requirements. For students in Year 9 & 10, this could result in being N-Determined for the course. Our staff are contacting parents of students who have not been engaging in the supplied work. As the majority of our staff are having to work from home, these calls will come from private numbers. Please ensure you are answering these calls so you can work with our staff to help keep students engaged.

We understand learning from home is difficult and greatly appreciate your support in keeping our students focused. Our staff have worked exceptionally hard to create engaging online content, supported with live online lessons. You can check what your child should be completing by visiting the RHS Remote Learning HUB and clicking on the year group tab. This will show you a structured timetable that gives more information about what they should be working on for the week.

If you have not been receiving calls or emails from our staff, it might be time to update your details. You can update them through our School Stream APP or send an email to Riverstone-h.school@det.nsw.edu.au  - In this email, please ensure you list:

  • Your full name
  • Child’s name
  • Postal address
  • Mobile number
  • Email Address

There is no need to update details if you are receiving messages and emails from the school.
