Each school in NSW offers something slightly different depending on the community. Here's what we offer for you.
All canteens in NSW public schools must meet certain requirements. These include providing more healthy food and drink options – to make the healthy choice an easy choice for students. Visit Healthy school canteens to learn more.
When students wear a school uniform, they feel included in our school community.
Students, teachers, parents and carers, as well as members of our local community helped develop our school uniform to make sure it:
meets the requirements of occupational health and safety, anti-discrimination and equal opportunity legislation
includes items that are affordable, comfortable and made from easy-care and easy-wear fabrics
is appropriate for the full range of school activities
is suitable for all body shapes.

Please be aware that it is a work health and safety (WHS) requirement for all students in NSW government schools to wear leather shoes. We strongly advise that when buying shoes you ensure that they have a solid rubber sole and strong leather upper. The wording 'leather upper' should appear on the shoe otherwise the shoes will not comply. For Riverstone High School our uniform policy requires students to be wearing black leather shoes. Unfortunately, WHS and the wearing of leather shoes is not an area of compromise and can't be negotiated. Under WHS laws teachers can be held personally liable and incur a fine.
We seek your support so that our learning expectations and uniform standards are upheld and reflect the Personal Responsibility In Delivering Excellence (PRIDE) we show as both a school and community.

We gather and learn on sacred Darug land with respect for, and gratitude to, the Traditional Custodians. We are all connected to this place, its history, stories, plants and animals. This land always was, and always will be, Aboriginal land. We pay our respect to the Elders past, present and emerging, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal people who meet here today. We welcome everyone to walk hand in hand as we continue to build a bright future together.
